- Team Leadership & Development: Manage the daily activities and performance of the DevOps Engineering team. Work with employees to set clear contribution goals, provide regular feedback, and create an environment that fosters development and career growth.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee the administration, maintenance, and availability of the DevOps toolchain. Develop and manage schedules and performance requirements to ensure platform uptime and reliability.
- Tactical Execution & Support: Act as the primary point of escalation for the team, providing guidance on complex troubleshooting for CI/CD pipelines, secrets management, and infrastructure issues. Ensure the team provides timely and effective support to our internal engineering customers.
- Process Improvement: Recommend and establish procedures that improve team efficiency and service quality. Follow and enforce operational policies, ensuring the team adheres to best practices for security, upgrades, and incident response.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Interact frequently with functional peer group managers and internal customers. Lead cooperative efforts among team members and cross-functional partners to resolve issues and deliver on project goals.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of DevOps principles and the administration of CI/CD toolchains (e.g., Jenkins, Artifactory, GitHub, Vault, Terraform).
- Solid experience with AWS infrastructure management and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts.
- Proven ability to diagnose and guide teams through complex technical issues across distributed systems.
- Familiarity with scripting, automation, and modern operational best practices.
