The Sales Executive for the Forwarding Division will be responsible for driving sales and business
development activities focused on forwarding services. This role requires a customer-oriented
professional who can generate leads, maintain client relationships, and support the sales team in
achieving revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and generate new business leads within the forwarding division.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Understand customer requirements and propose suitable forwarding solutions.
- Prepare and present quotations, negotiate terms, and close sales deals.
- Coordinate with internal teams such as operations and logistics to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in CRM systems.
- Assist in preparing sales reports and forecasts for management review.
- Participate in trade shows, networking events, and other marketing activities as required.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in sales, preferably in forwarding, freight forwarding, or logistics.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Basic understanding of forwarding and logistics processes.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
- Knowledge of Chennai market and customer base.
- Familiarity with freight forwarding documentation and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Result-oriented with a focus on meeting sales targets.
