Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in designing and developing large-scale distributed systems, and 5 years of experience managing teams.
Experience in Distributed Systems and Networking.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience in Infrastructure Systems, Networking and Performance Improvement.
Experience in C++, Java or Go.

Own and drive high-impact projects to extend the capabilities and improve the reliability, efficiency, performance and stability of the Google Remote Procedure Call (gRPC) stacks, and also be responsible for supporting and growing a team of Software Engineers working on the Google Remote Procedure Call (RPC) stacks.
Collaborate with other leads and managers across time-zones to help drive strategy and new initiatives. Customer engagement and collaboration with partners.
Lead new features for gRPC based on the needs of Google production users.
Grow technical leaders on the team, defining roadmaps, planning projects, and delivering tools and processes.
Establish a collaborative team culture focused on engineering and product excellence. Improve overall developer experience and team velocity.
