The nature of the network is inherently a highly variable ecosystem that requires flexible, reliable, and resilient systems to operate efficiently.Wayfair is seeking a senior product leader to shape and scale our global payments infrastructure and integrations. These platforms are critical for processing Wayfair's billions of dollars in annual global revenue and helping Wayfair's millions of customers shop confidently by making transactions with Wayfair secure, seamless, and convenient.You will partner with Wayfair's Financing, Loyalty, Payments, Fraud, and Gift Card business teams to drive product strategy, roadmaps, and delivery across a broad set of payment journeys. The Purchase technology teams also design, build, and evolve surrounding customer experiences including Cart, Checkout, Financing education & approval, Loyalty sign-up and renewals, across all web and native app platforms.Wayfair believes everyone deserves a home they love, and that furnishing your home should be a source of fun, not anxiety. We leverage technology to make shopping for millions of products feel simple and personal.We are looking for an experienced product manager to own product strategy, vision, and execution of the customer tech data engineering workstream. This team is responsible for the development and optimization of our enterprise-scale data infrastructure that fuels personalization, customer insights, and business performance across Wayfair. You'll lead a cross-functional team partnering closely with engineering, data science, and business stakeholders to build and evolve our core data pipelines, platforms, and tools to enable opportunities and insights across our e-commerce experience. You'll be part of an exceptionally talented Product Management and Technology community at a Fortune 500 company.What You'll Do
  • Own Payments Capabilities: Drive product strategy and execution for key payments platform features such as authorization flows, routing, and settlement services.
  • Support Vendor Integrations: Partner with global payment processors, fraud vendors, and other FinTech providers to deliver reliable, cost-effective integrations that enhance customer trust.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work with stakeholders in Payments, Financing, Loyalty, Fraud, Cart/Checkout, and Finance to align business objectives with platform priorities.
  • Enable Scalable Infrastructure: Partner with Engineering to design APIs and services that can handle high throughput and global scale, while ensuring resilience and extensibility.
  • Measure & Optimize: Define and track KPIs like authorization rates, decline reasons, and payment costs. Use data to drive continuous improvements in conversion and efficiency.
  • Ensure Compliance & Security: Collaborate with Legal, Risk, and Security teams to ensure that payments systems meet regulatory and compliance requirements globally.
  • Champion Reliability: Contribute to building systems with strong observability, redundancy, and failover strategies to minimize customer disruption.
What You'll Need
  • Overall 6+ years of experience and 2-4 years of product management experience, ideally in payments, FinTech, or related e-commerce platform technology.
  • Understanding of core payments concepts such as authorization, routing, tokenization, chargebacks, and settlement.
  • Comfort engaging with engineering teams on architecture, APIs, and system design trade-offs - no coding required, but technical fluency is expected.
  • Strong product instincts and a platform-oriented mindset - you're motivated to build foundational capabilities that unlock downstream value.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience aligning business and technical teams.
  • Analytical skills to interpret payments data, identify trends, and prioritize improvements.
  • Experience with third-party vendor integrations in payments or fraud is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field - or equivalent practical experience.
