- Leadership and People Management - Hiring, coaching, mentoring team members. Conducting Performance reviews. Motivating and maintaining high morale, fostering positive and inclusive culture.
- Project Management - Planning and prioritizing work backlog, defining scope, objectives, timelines. Communicating and coordinating between team members, stakeholders, and other teams. Expressing clearly to the team why and what needs to be delivered. Gathering requirements and feedback from different stakeholders and users. Supporting services built beyond development ensuring everything is operational above the service level agreements. Building and maintaining a clear road map of team projects, capturing any changes due to risks or bottlenecks.
- Innovation and Improvement - Encouraging innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
- Strategic Planning - creation of team goals and objectives which would align with company objectives.
- Continuous Learning - Keeping up with changes in Public Cloud Services, CNCF projects, project management techniques and better ways to improve team management capabilities.
- Solutions Design - The person must be able to contribute to creation of designs for various business solutions within Public Cloud or Kubernetes systems
- Training/Coaching - coach team leaders to improve their team management skills.
- Documentation - Create required documentation to meet business objectives and compliance requirements.
- Monitoring and Support - Ensure any services that the team owns are always in best health, respond to incidents be it outage or security breach and help organize the resolution to those incidents when required.
- Understanding and experience in applying Servant Leadership principals
- Experience in managing backlog within Agile Frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, ScrumBan
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure
- Knowledge in containerization technologies, including Kubernetes, Helm and KEDA.
- Knowledge in APIs, their design components and API Management Solutions (such as Kong)
- Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services
- Knowledge in computer networks and cyber security
- Understanding in DevOps/DevSecOps principles and practices
- Experience with git and automation pipelines platforms (Azure DevOps, GitHub)
- Experience in using project/product management tools (Azure DevOps, Monday.com, Jira)
- Skilled in planning and designing platform solutions according to functional and non-functional requirements
- Advantageous - Software Engineering background
- Advantageous - Microsoft Azure Administrator certified
- Advantageous - Microsoft Azure DevOps Engineer certified
- Advantageous - Certification in Kubernetes
- Advantageous - Certification in Scrum Product Owner role
- Advantageous - Certification in FinOps framework
- Advantageous - Microsoft SQL Server Administration knowledge
