- Production Operations
- Manage and supervise shift-wise production activities in the injection molding department.
- Ensure optimum machine utilization and minimal downtime.
- Set machine parameters as per product requirements and troubleshoot molding issues.
- Monitor cycle time, process parameters, and product quality.
- Machine & Process Handling
- Operate and maintain injection molding machines (e.g., Ferromatik Milacron, Haitian, Toshiba, etc.).
- Change molds and set tools as per production planning.
- Troubleshoot defects like short shots, flash, sink marks, warpage, etc.
- Quality Assurance
- Work closely with the Quality team to maintain product standards.
- Conduct in-process quality checks and first-off approvals.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions for process deviations.
- Team Management
- Supervise and guide machine operators and helpers during shifts.
- Train staff on machine operation, safety, and maintenance practices.
- Ensure compliance with workplace discipline and safety standards.
- Production Planning & Reporting
- Coordinate with the planning team to achieve daily/weekly production targets.
- Maintain daily production reports, downtime logs, and shift reports.
- Monitor raw material availability and coordinate with stores.
- Maintenance Coordination
- Report machine breakdowns and assist in minor troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of injection molding processes and machine settings.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and process sheets.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with production planning tools and ERP systems.
- Knowledge of 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and Kaizen (preferred).
