The Chief Risk Officer will be responsible for defining, implementing, and strengthening the company’s risk management framework across credit, operational, market, and liquidity domains. This role will ensure alignment of risk practices with business strategy, regulatory expectations, and organizational growth ambitions. The leader will serve as the primary interface with regulators, the Board, and senior leadership, driving a culture of risk awareness across the enterprise.Strategic Risk Leadership
Define and implement the enterprise-wide risk management framework, aligning with business strategy and growth objectives.
Lead the design and execution of the organization’s Risk Appetite Framework, ensuring it reflects strategic priorities.
Act as the primary interface with the RBI and other regulators on all risk-related engagements.
Credit Risk
Oversee credit policy, underwriting standards, and portfolio monitoring for retail and consumer lending products, ensuring robust governance and portfolio health.
Establish differentiated, segment-specific credit frameworks to balance growth and risk.
Strengthen early warning systems and portfolio quality controls for proactive risk identification.
Review and analyse portfolio trends to detect deterioration in portfolio quality
Operational Risk
Enhance operational resilience by strengthening controls across disbursement, collections, fraud prevention, and cyber risk.
Drive adoption of automation, data-led controls, and audit readiness across all business lines.
Market & Liquidity Risk
Support the assessment and management of ALM, interest rate risk, and liquidity, partnering closely with Treasury and Finance.
Partner with Treasury and Finance to ensure prudent capital, liquidity, and balance sheet management.
Regulatory Compliance & Governance
Anticipate and interpret RBI guidelines (including scale-based regulations) to ensure proactive compliance.
Oversee all risk-related regulatory reporting, board disclosures, and governance frameworks.
Deliver clear risk dashboards and insights to the Board Risk Committee and senior stakeholders.
