3) Prepare L1 design plan and subsequently pushing the team for adherance . 4) Take important technical decisions about project.
5) Manage the time and resources for making best use of them and adhere to OTD of project.
6) Standardise the assemblies and parts and use them in the projects to avoid repetative work. & maintain quality.
7) Have a continous eye on project budget and evaluates the designs to reduce or maintain the cost within budget.
8) Team building - continoulsy coach & train the team members to upgrade their skills.and knowledge .
9) Take necessary steps to retains the talents..
10) Interact with suppliers & customers & communicate effectively in the best interest of the project.
11) Interact well with other team members, peers and other departments. Cordial and ready to help always.Job Responsibilities"1) Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
2) New Product Development.
3) Standardisation. 4) Project execution as per ISO system
5) Adherance to project schedules and maintain OTD for all the projects.
6) Adherance to the budget of project. Ensure designs are released adhering to budget.
7) Customer interaction , DAP approvals and resolution of any technical issues raised.
8) Supplier interaction.
9) Service, warranty issues immediate action.
10) Design technical and schedule reviews.
11) Adherance to company EHS policies.
12) Travel & visit customers for discussion. Visit the workplace / machines to collect feedbacks.
13) Regular review of design projects.
14) Always aware of new trends in technology. Keeps himself updated. Implement the new technology in machines.
15) Design outsourcing - getting work done from outside vendorsSkills and Certificates"1) Have exprience of managing more than 5 members design team.
2) Sound technical knowledge. He should be proficient in design of all the machine elements including slides , spindles, fixtures, imported items, gear boxes, hyd, coolant pneumatics , piping , guarding etc.
3) He knows all design calculations of machine and circuits. 4) Have good knowledge of metal cutting processes and manufacturing of components.
5) Good communication skill.
6) Good knowledge of GD & T and Tolerances.
7) Can work on AutoCad and SolidWorks softwares.
8) Should have handson exprience in machine design & able to draw in 2D & 3D.
9) Able to manage multiple projects at a time.
11) Have good knowledge of makes of different bought out items and their cost.
