You will be working as Project Engineer - Batch-Pharma Automation at global grade 14/15 and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be Senior Engineering Manager and will be responsible for acting as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Completing assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, cybersecurity policies and standards. Your responsibilities Evaluating, selecting, applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments. Providing technical support for testing, installing, commissioning activities and preparing project documentation within one's scope of deliverables Participating in project meetings, resolving any outstanding technical issues to meet contractual obligations and assisting in preparing proposal or presentation of engineering projects or programs (provision of bills of materials, estimated engineering hours, etc.) Applying basic design thinking or design for excellence concepts in projects, utilizing checklists to perform design verification according to applicable standards, engineering guidelines, contributing, sharing experiences in workshops related to engineering design, tools and processes Support in design of process control and automation by utilizing P&IDs, PFDs, and other process and instrumentation documentation, based on ISA S88 standard, development of supply documentation, conceptual design, basic design, detailed design with validation Reporting processes, tools inefficiencies, suggesting improvements ideas, risk and opportunity management. Supporting technical risk assessments and implementing resulting actions for their project Coordinating with Manufacturing and Testing functions to ensure the technical solutions are appropriately manufactured or staged, tested and updating the engineering deliverables as-built Your background BE or BTech or Diploma in Control and Instrumentation Engineering Minimum 4 to 7 years of experience in ISA 88 Batch Standards, Batch Design, Production Management or Scheduling and Batch Management programming Knowledge of process manufacturing, field instrumentation, control system installation and implementation expertise in the following project phases: Requirement's documentation, detailed design generation, implementation, system integration, testing and on-site startup Knowledge on HMI design and Implementation, Integrated system testing(FAT), Start up, Commissioning and Troubleshooting Willing to travel to abroad as per project requirements ( 50% travel anticipated More about us ABB Energy Industries is enabling safe, smart and sustainable projects and operations for businesses across the oil, gas, chemicals, life sciences, power generation and water sectors.
