The OpportunityThe OpportunityOur Product Development organization is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead, inspire, unblock, and optimize the delivery of a development team. If you are someone who has managerial experience, great people skills, and recent hands-on technical experience to help their team find process issues and remove bottlenecks to make our development efforts more effective, we encourage you to apply. What You'll Do

Lead the delivery of strategically impactful projects, influencing the bottom line and enhancing our competitive position.
Take end-to-end ownership of strategic products and programs aimed at delighting our global customer base.
Lead agile engineering teams to create maintainable and scalable software services and components, influencing critical team and product decisions.
Cultivate and manage highly motivated and talented teams, fostering effective collaboration with stakeholders, envisioning, designing, developing, testing, and launching impactful software.
Initiate processes facilitating efficient collaboration between local and international groups.
Drive continuous improvement in software quality, customer experience, and feature maintainability.
Actively contribute to the product's architecture vision and execution, collaborating closely with cross-product team leads and other R&D leaders.
Manage on-call operations.
Mentor, coach, and help each team member to set career direction and grow.

What You'll BringThe ideal candidate is a professional with experience in building and leading engineering teams and designing and implementing scalable software systems. You are a collaborative team player who is calm, optimistic, and creative in solving software delivery challenges. You possess exceptional communication skills to collaborate seamlessly across time zones, effectively conveying technical solutions and project requirements to both engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders, while maintaining strong working relationships with product managers and leadership teams in our distributed, international organization.Preferred Qualifications: Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise:

5+ years of experience leading a software development team.
Design and architecting software modules.
Work experience with C#.NET OR Java OR Python, or GoLang, and its idioms and design patterns.
Technical acumen to deep dive into challenges and lead technical discussions with the team.
Knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and unit testing processes.
Experience in developing RESTful or GraphQL services.
Proficient in a broad range of software design approaches and design patterns.
Thorough understanding and experience in cloud computing systems.

Other Beneficial Qualifications:

Continuous integration/deployment tooling such as GitHub, Jenkins, Travis CI, or others.
Proficiency in Test-Driven Development.
Containers and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
In-depth knowledge and experience programming in Python or related technologies.
Experience building applications using ReactJS.
Experience managing team members in remote / distributed teams and projects.
Hands-on experience working in an AWS environment.
