The mission of Booking Holdings is to make it easier for everyone to experience the world.Job SummaryBooking Holdings is currently undergoing a Finance Transformation initiative that will drive effective finance/accounting support for business management; promote strong governance and control in the organization; and have a world-class finance organization in terms of execution and efficiency.To support this transformation, we are hiring a RTR Senior Manager within the Finance organization. This role, reporting to the Site Leader, Finance - India COE with matrix functional reporting will be responsible for establishing functional objectives in line with the organization’s objectives and overseeing the RTR operations within the center. The role takes full ownership and responsibility of the accounting for a defined set of global functions being responsible for all accounting activities, collaborating together with senior stakeholders in Finance and the business. The role manages a team of people managers and drives operations, engagement and development within a large diverse global stakeholder base.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for cross-functional accounting activities globally/across locations (e.g. corporate, fintech and treasury accounting)Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations and ensure timeliness and accuracy of the overall monthly close activities performed by the center teams; provide support on both statutory and US financial audits and requests from internal and external auditorsManage the transition of new processes from business units into the center for a successful transition. Identify organizational and/or project needs and make appropriate resource allocations to support business goalsWork alongside key stakeholders at BHI HQ and brands to drive the Global Finance Transformation Agenda and collaborate within and across organization on key company-wide initiatives, champion process efficiencies, to develop new accounting procedures to support the strategic goals of the center and the companyDriving continuous improvement/harmonization and standardization, measuring of output process and input quality to achieve best-in-class performanceDevelop and review monthly metrics/KPIs with business process owners and business stakeholders, to improve processes and resolve issues. Proactively identify opportunities to expand scope of services which lead to global efficiencyDemonstrate excellent thought leadership, team management and problem solving capabilities to provide timely and accurate customer service to business stakeholdersManage a team of people managers and drive operations, engagement and projects within a large team located in diverse worldwide locations (BHI, Brands, COE).Guide the team in handling and solving complex bottlenecks and issues, for all matters impacting accounting. Own final issue resolution for items with potential global impact.Serve as business partner by maintaining in-depth knowledge of the industry and accounting policies & principlesDevelop, coach, and manage team members into mature financial advisors with a customer service orientation toward the dependent process owners and business stakeholdersKnowledge & SkillsQualifications:Bachelor’s Degree (Required)CPA / CA (Required)Big 4 public accounting experience or multinational corporate environment experience is preferredRelevant Experience:Substantial job knowledge (12+ years)Core Skills & Abilities:Proven experience leading finance operations in a global capability/shared service centerStrong project management and/or transformation experienceDemonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentEffective communicator with the ability to tailor messaging across all organizational levelsStrong collaboration skills across functions and geographiesComfort with ambiguity and continuous changeStrong people leadership with ability to inspire and mobilize large teamsExcellent verbal and written communicationDeep knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS and SOX complianceProficiency in SAP and Blackline is requiredFamiliarity with OneStream or Hyperion Financial Management is a plus
