Job RequirementsJob Title: MATLAB Developer – Computer Vision & 3D DataLocation: Bengaluru, KarnatakaThe selected candidate will support the development and maintenance of MATLAB-based modules for system—a high-speed, non-contact optical inspection platform. The role involves working with image and 3D laser scan data , detect and classify defects.Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain MATLAB .m scripts for:

Image acquisition and preprocessing
3D point cloud and laser scan data processing
Surface defect detection and measurement
Implement mathematical models for wheel geometry analysis (e.g., out-of-roundness, tread hollow, flange damage)
Optimize existing algorithms for performance and accuracy
Collaborate with internal teams to integrate MATLAB modules with larger system workflows
Validate outputs using real-world datasets and generate reports

Work ExperienceRequired Skills:

Strong hands-on experience with MATLAB, especially:

Image Processing Toolbox
Computer Vision Toolbox
Signal Processing and Math Toolboxes
Solid understanding of linear algebra, geometry, and numerical methods
Experience with 2D/3D data processing, including point clouds and depth maps
Familiarity with CSV/XML data handling and bitmap image formats

Preferred Qualifications:

Exposure to industrial inspection systems or railway technologies
Familiarity with defect detection using heat maps and 3D surface profiles
Ability to work with multi-threaded or real-time data acquisition systems
