- Day-to-day Accounting, Book-keeping, and Reporting as per applicable GAAP (US GAAP, IndAS, or IFRS), including crypto asset accounting under IFRS/US GAAP guidance (e.g., IAS 38, IFRS 9, ASC 350, ASC 820).
- Preparation and review of Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Financial Statements, including valuation, impairment, and disclosure requirements for digital assets and tokens.
- Consolidation of various entities to deliver Group results quarterly and annually, incorporating crypto-related subsidiaries or trading desks.
- Assist with technical accounting issues such as Revenue Recognition, Consolidation, Stock Options, Business Combinations, MTM accounting, crypto transaction accounting, and other complex matters.
- Legal Entity Management - jurisdiction-specific reporting, accounting, and compliance, including crypto asset tax treatment and regulatory reporting (FATF, VASP, or jurisdictional crypto guidelines).
- Inter-company balances monitoring, settlement, and managing Transfer
- Pricing arrangements, including crypto asset transfers and valuations.
- Understand the company's operations and settlement processes, and
- Support the trade operations & settlement team by performing daily/weekly/monthly reconciliations and attestation procedures - covering both fiat and crypto transactions.
- Experience in setting up Processes, Policies & Procedures, and Control Frameworks, with specific internal control design for blockchain-based transactions and custody arrangements.
- Coordination with External Auditors, Audit Committee, and other relevant teams for audits that include crypto holdings, wallets, and blockchain transaction trails.
- Hands-on knowledge of working/operating in ERP systems (like NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) integrated with crypto accounting and blockchain data aggregation tools.
- Manage Legal Entities w.r.t. their Regulatory, Statutory, Management & Tax deliverables, filings - including crypto-specific disclosures.
- Work closely with Trading, Trade-Ops, and External Consultants to ensure optimal financial outcomes for the organization's crypto and traditional operations.
- Build SME knowledge from an accounting, reporting, and regulatory perspective in digital assets, DeFi products, and blockchain technology.
- Keep pace with the growth of the organization by being open to performing across Accounting, Treasury, Settlements, and Reporting -for both crypto and traditional instruments.
- Professional degree in accounting - must be a Chartered Accountant.
- 9-16 years of experience in similar industries (Banking, Broker-Dealer, Fintech, or Crypto Exchange) with exposure to trading divisions and crypto/digital asset operations.
- Managed end-to-end deliverables of Legal Entities along with Transfer Pricing arrangements, including crypto asset intercompany transfers.
- Expert knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP reporting standards, and their application to digital assets.
- Hands-on ERP experience (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) - experience with crypto accounting software (e.g., Bitwave, SoftLedger, Ledgible) is a
- plus.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end trade flow (Settlement, Market-making, Clearing) for both fiat and crypto instruments.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with blockchain explorers, wallet reconciliation, and on-chain data analysis tools.
- Enthusiastic, self-starter, detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, and excellent communication skills.
