Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS): is responsible for managing all infrastructure components globally, supporting business delivery projects and delivering EIS projects.Infrastructure related to Platforms - WINDOWS, UNIX, Storage & Backup, Virtualisation, Middleware and Datacentre.About your role
The role is responsible for delivering core Windows engineering, development & support, working within the global Windows support, projects & engineering team. This role will be focused on operational support, engineering and delivering a cloud-based platform and working towards a target operating model to support a product owner methodology.You will also require collaborative engagement with other platform engineering functions to ensure the business receives a consistently high service level from Technology Infrastructure Services as a whole.As part of the Global Windows Operations team you would be responsible for the Day to Day operations of the Windows Server environment located in EMEA / India and APAC.The candidate will participate and be involved in all aspects of Platform support with opportunities to be involved in development & supporting fidelity project work.
As this role supports a global team there may be a requirement to work within a UK shift pattern also.About youExperience and Qualifications Required for the role have been listed below.A Bachelor degree and Industry experience is mandatoryTechnical
- Overall 8-9 Years of experience in Windows Servers, SCCM, WSUS, SCOM Monitoring, Group Policy, Basic PowerShell, Windows Clustering.
- Hands on experience of Windows Server Operating systems i.e. Windows Server 2016 / 2022 is essential.
- Knowledge of Software update process, how to download, configure Windows update and schedule deployment using SCCM, WSUS and maintaining compliance using tools such as Nexpose.
- Knowledge of Windows Server operating systems Troubleshooting and Support.
- Understanding of Active Directory concept and Experience in AD, Group Policy Management.
- Experience in supporting in Hardware issues on Dell servers is essential.
- Good knowledge of any service Management tool such as Service Now tool for Change Management / Incident Management.
- Candidate must be well orientated with Network, Backup and Storage technologies.
- Experience of working in a highly virtualised environment
- ITIL Ver3.0 Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate technical issues in non-technical terms to business people
- Strong ability to work in a Dynamic / Flexible team on a rotational basis. Having an ability to share knowledge and circulate information throughout the team with attention to details.

- Experience within Banking or Finance related business and experience working with large distributed systems strongly recommended
