Proven experience with a large-scale implementation of Hyperion Essbase & Planning version 11 or high. Extensive experience developing and maintaining Hyperion Planning and Essbase applications.Strong understanding of ASOBSO cube development Experience working on Windows and a Unix/Linux platform. Knowledge of writing basic SQLs Experience with Smart View, web forms and reports, mxl, and Unix shell scriptingOracle Relational Database experience is a plus. Deep functional and technical knowledge of financial systems and business processes, especially around planning, budgeting, forecasting. Responsible for creating, documenting, and implementing scalable solution design and implementation plans. Preparation of key deliverables such as requirements documents, design documents, test plans, training materials and solution delivery Supervise, develop, and mentor junior consultants throughout project life cycles. Apply structure knowledge to solve problems, break down issues and identify solutionsTechnical Skills:
- Develops and maintains an Essbase reporting environment and reports in Smart View, for an Enterprise Finance Analytics environment
- Provides technical and functional support. Also makes necessary changes in the data layer and creates/modifies the reports per user requirements
- Builds repositories/data models for Essbase applications and manages the data loads/periodical maintenance processes
- Assists in continuing improvements to the overall usability, scalability, reliability and performance of the data warehousing environment
- Utilize Best Practice BI Implementation Practices
- At least 2 to 5 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining BI infrastructure & reports in Hyperion in Essbase applications (preferably with version 11.1.2.4).
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the scope of database design and database management
- Familiar with the Hyperion Product Suite, including Essbase Administration Services (EAS), Shared Services, Essbase Studio, EPM Workspace, Financial Reporting, Hyperion Data Relationship Manager (DRM), and Smart View
- Experience with security for Planning/Essbase users, groups, and dimensions and administer access
- Experience with batch scripting, shell scripting in Unix, automation using MaxL, Visual Basic, and/or other scripting languages
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and debugging skills
- Demonstrated skills building and managing a reporting environment
- Meet Development Team Assignment & Project Deadlines
- Work with Team Lead to Convert Technical Specifications into Reports or Components
- Creation of Technical, Functional & System Specifications, Development, & Documentation
- Ensure Delivery Quality
- Liaise with Technology and Data Support teams, DRM team, Data Integration team, & Hyperion Planning team
- Compliance with Program Standards
- Preparation of Weekly Project Updates for BI Technical Lead and BI Architect
- Participate in Project Meetings, Team Workshops, and Team Trainings
