JOB SCOPE Role : Quality Executive Purpose Role holder shall be responsible for designing, training and implementing quality assurance systems across MPC, complying MPC for legal requirements (FSSAI and Legal Metrology) and assisting MPC for Good Manufacturing and Laboratory practices (GMPs and GLPs) with assurance of good quality milk reception and dispatch. Key Responsibilities Build capability of the MPC Team members in managing the supply chain and in-terms of achieving desired quality and optimized operation; To design and implement quality assurance system across MPC. To prepare, and implement standard procedures for milk testing and operational activities. To ensure proper calibration and standardization of all laboratory instruments and equipments. To prepare, and implement standard procedures for milk reception, chilling and dispatch To keep BMC machinery and instrument healthy and suitable for operation by timely taking up Preventive and timely maintenance. To manage and monitor activities at BMCs. To comply with statutory requirements, such as FSSA, Legal Metrology, Pollution control etc. To set up quality assurance laboratories in MPC for milk testing at different levels. To monitor daily physico-chemical and microbial quality of the milk across the value chain To monitor Total Solid variance from MPP to BMC & BMC to Plant. To organize various training programs and orient the field staff in various quality procedures. To assist Head Milk Procurement in purchase, deployment, monitoring and management of milk analytical material for MPP/ BMC/ To coordinate with purchase department to maintain the stock of chemicals, detergents and glassware and timely delivery of above materials to BMC. To improve continuously incoming milk quality and minimize inward rejections by orienting milk producers for clean milk production and related MPC personnel for clean milk procurement, handling and dispatch. Field visits to take corrective actions for deviations in milk quality (RCA-Root Cause Analysis). Overall responsible for the redressal of customer complaints. Necessary co-ordination with plant for the root-cause-analysis, correction and corrective actions for all customer complaints and to monitor the effectiveness of the corrective and preventive actions Coordination with receiving plants for timely reception of milk tankers and its qualitative aspects. To assess/audit third party plants/vendors initially and on periodic basis Supporting third party plants for their effective quality system Active involvement is new product development and R&D activities. To prepare the annual physical and financial plans required for annual budget. To assist Head Milk Procurement in identification, shortlisting and selection of manpower required. To monitor and review the achievement against the targets on regular basis. To compile, review and present key quality performance indicators (improvements and trends) on regular basis Job Requirements Graduate in Dairy/Food/Science disciplines Preference will be given to candidates having Post-Graduation in Dairy/Food/Science disciplines/Management 3-7 years of experience preferably in the area of liquid milk Quality Assurance/Control and Operation of BMC/MCC Experience of working in rural areas desirable Education UG: B.Sc in Food Technology, Agriculture, Bio-Chemistry, Chemistry, Dairy Technology, B.Tech/B.E. in Agriculture, Bio-Chemistry/Bio-Technology
