- Oversee installation quality of wind turbine electrical systems including cabling, converters, generators, substations, transformers, and SCADA/communication systems, ensuring compliance with OEM specifications.
- Establish and enforce inspection and testing protocols, supervising cable laying, system checks, and validating transformer, protection, SCADA, and earthing tests in line with commissioning standards.
- Manage commissioning readiness and grid integration, validating protection schemes, grid code compliance, and SCADA connectivity for trial runs and performance testing.
- Ensure adherence to CEA grid connectivity standards, IEC/IS electrical safety and earthing standards, utility requirements, and internal QMS/EHS frameworks.
- Maintain commissioning dossiers, inspection logs, and quality documentation, leading root cause analysis for failures and ensuring closure of NCRs and punch points.
- Coordinate with OEM teams, EPC contractors, vendors, and internal project and engineering teams, while supporting third-party inspections and lender audits.
- Drive continuous improvement by standardizing quality procedures across the wind portfolio and implementing learnings from site audits and failure analysis.
- Provide technical oversight to ensure consistent quality, compliance, and reliability across all wind electrical systems.
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with 9-15 years of experience in electrical QA/QC for wind energy projects.
- Strong exposure to working with wind turbine OEMs and substation systems, ensuring compliance and quality standards.
- In-depth knowledge of wind turbine electrical systems, converter technologies, collection networks, and substation integration.
- Hands-on expertise in relay testing, high-voltage testing, and SCADA validation for commissioning and grid readiness.
- Proven ability to drive quality assurance across wind projects through technical oversight and compliance with industry standards.
