This position will set and maintain an enhanced standard for the visual design of Stantec’s learning programs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for graphic design—an energetic and creative team player, who can communicate effectively, manage multiple projects at the same time, collaborate with teammates and stakeholders across geography and time zones, and thrive in a deadline-driven environment.If this sounds like your perfect role, we would love to hear from you.Role OverviewThe Multimedia Graphic Designer (Learning & Development) collaborates with learning instructional designers, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to elevate the visual quality, engagement, and learner experience of all learning deliverables. This role brings learning content to life through strong graphic design, multimedia production, and intuitive interactive experiences across modality.Your Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with learning (instructional) designers to set visual direction (look and feel) for all learning deliverables including:
o Digital learning moduleso Instructor led training materials including ppt presentations and facilitator guideso Videoso Job aids, quick reference guides, manuals, and other documents
  • Incorporate design elements into digital learning using Articulate Suite and other digital learning software/authoring tools
  • Select and edit images and other visual assets
  • Create and edit video content
  • Create mood boards, storyboards, and mock-ups
  • Apply UI/UX principles to ensure intuitive navigation and best learner experiences
  • Ensure work aligns with brand guidelines and overall design direction
  • Thoughtfully incorporate feedback from internal clients and stakeholders
  • Ensure work is accurate and consistently complete quality assurance reviews
Task Management:
  • Manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously
  • Report and track status of projects to supervisors, teammates
  • Seek input proactively and engage others for contributions; participating in meetings to understand needs/scope of a project
  • Move projects through production, liaison with internal partners and external vendors if required (translation, etc.)
Capabilities & Credentials:
  • Proficiency with digital learning authoring tools (Articulate Suite, Vyond)
  • Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects)
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (PPT, Word, Excel)
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating learning-focused design work (digital and print)
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management
  • Experience working as an integrated global team, collaborating with teammates and stakeholders across time zones
  • Ability to effectively balance competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Commitment to client service and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors, peers, and clients, internally
  • Ability to work effectively within a group as well as independently motivated with minimal supervision
Education and Experience:
  • Degree or diploma in Visual Communication Design or Graphic Design
  • Experience in interactive learning design and production, video animation, video editing, UI/UX principles for learning experiences, graphic design
  • Minimum 5-8 years of professional design experience in medium- to large-sized organization or design agency
