Detailed JD (Roles and Responsibilities) Tableau Developer to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence dashboards and reports. The ideal candidate should have basic knowledge of data visualisation principles, SQL, and analytics.
Key Expectations:
· Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards and visual analytics solutions.
· Collaborate with stakeholders and teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective data visualizations.
· Extract, clean, and transform data from various sources (e.g., Snowflake, internal databases, APIs) to support reporting needs.
· Optimize Tableau extracts, queries, and dashboards for performance and scalability.
· Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across all reports and dashboards.
· Automate data refreshes, report scheduling, and dashboard maintenance tasks.
· Apply and advocate best practices in data visualization, user experience, and performance tuning.
· Document development processes, data sources, and create user guides for end users.
· Troubleshoot and resolve data or reporting issues promptly.
· Stay updated with the latest Tableau features and BI trends.
· Mentor and train junior developers on Tableau development and BI best practices.Hiring Focus:
· Hands-on experience in developing Tableau dashboards with a solid understanding of visualization best practices.
· Strong SQL skills for querying and data manipulation, with familiarity in data cleaning and transformation.
· Experience working with data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake) and ETL processes (e.g., Airflow).
· Ability to work with large datasets and optimize dashboard performance for efficiency and scalability.
· Exposure to Tableau Server/Cloud deployment and administration.
· Basic knowledge of Python and data pipeline concepts is a plus.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to data accuracy.
· Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.Mandatory:
