Mechanical design Engineer will be reporting to team manager of INOPC PGTR Engineering & Technology teamHow you’ll make an impact:Design mechanical systems and components for on-load tap changers, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and manufacturability.Create detailed 3D models of mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software Creo. Ensure the accuracy and manufacturability of designs by developing comprehensive technical drawings.Organize and maintain CAD files, ensuring that design versions are controlled, and technical documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible by other team members.Identify areas for design improvements, focusing on performance, reliability, cost, and manufacturabilityWork closely with Design & Development teams, manufacturing teams, and other stakeholders to integrate mechanical designsEnsure that designs meet industry standards such as IEC and apply Global Positioning System standards where application in the design and functionality of Tap ChangersAnalyze and troubleshoot issues in existing designs and field-deployed systems, providing solutions to improve functionality and reliability.Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.Living Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.Your Background:Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering/electrical engineering or related field with 3-6 years of experienceExperience in mechanical design, preferably in the Tap changer/Transformer or Power IndustryHands on experience in using GPS standards. Strong understanding of standards relevant to Transformer industry/products.Proficiency in 3D CAD modelling tool Creo Parametric.
