Job OverviewWe are looking forward to “Engineer II - Mechanical Design” based in Chennai, India. The position requires a highly energetic, result-driven, self-motivated, and proactive individual with sound knowledge of Mechanical Design and development. We are looking for a candidate who is having good knowledge in Inventor software.A Day In The Life

Need to create Drawings based on ASME Y14.5M - 2009 standards.
Design the product as per UL, IEEE and NEMA standards.
Proficiency in Inventor software modeling & drafting.
Knowledge in Electromechanical products.
Need to understand top-down approach principles. Create parts & assembly using skeleton model.
Knowledge in product database & product life cycle management.
Good Team player - Develop good interaction with the team lead and team members.
Interact with Customers to understand the requirements.
Legacy drawing conversion from 2D to 3D Models, Engineering change order (ECO).
Should act as technical interface to customers and is responsible to ensure that projects are executed within agreed schedule.
Need to work in a Design Database for creating design orders.
Maintain high Quality standards & deliver projects on time.
Create new concept designs.
Need to work in shifts as required.

What will help you thrive in this role?BE Mechanical Engineering with 3 to 5 yearsExperience in casting part design and development.Experience in the manufacturing industry is an added advantage.Inventor Certification will be an added advantage.Engineering drawing creation.Hands-on experience in the field of Mechanical CAD & ECO Process.Knowledge in Castings, Substation / Transmission / Distribution Products designKnowledge in Match plate Pattern and mold design is an added advantage.Knowledge in Electrical connector products, power and communications transportation industries.
