- People Manager for the project and site HSE teams in the APAC & MENA regions. Champion the implementation of the HVDC HSE strategy across the APAC & MENA regions, driving performance and compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Serve as the primary liaison for HSE matters between the APAC & MENA regions and global leadership, ensuring alignment with HVDC HSE objectives.
- Collaborate with other Regional HSE Managers to ensure a uniform approach is delivered throughout the organization.
- Identify and establish the HSE structure within the regions; ensuring sufficient HSE resources are assigned to support projects.
- Act as a key contributor in project reviews across the APAC & MENA regions, providing HSE support and strategic guidance to the Operations and Construction & Commissioning departments.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate HSE considerations into project planning, execution, and handover phases.
- Monitor and report on regional HSE performance metrics, providing actionable insights to drive improvement and maintain high standards.
- Support business development initiatives by providing HSE expertise during tendering and proposal stages, ensuring compliance with client requirements.
- Overall incident management responsibilities for the APAC & MENA regions, including incident classification, appointing investigators, follow-up of corrective actions and distribution of lessons learned briefings.
- Drive the development and delivery of HSE training programs tailored to regional needs, enhancing workforce competence and compliance.
- Manage and resolve any regulatory or legal HSE-related issues within the regions, ensuring compliance with local laws and standards.
- Management of the department budget in the regions for continuous improvement, training, travel requests, expenses and workshops.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

- Candidate should have Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Safety, Health, Environment with minimum of 15+ years of experience in a complex, matrix-based organization.
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Proven ability to manage multiple resources across diverse geographical locations.
- Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach, effectively balancing long-term planning with daily operational execution.
- Experienced in developing and implementing strategies that deliver measurable business results.
- Commercial awareness and experience working directly with customers/clients, ensuring alignment of HSE initiatives with their business needs and driving mutual success.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required
