- Develop and optimize search queries using Boolean expressions across a variety of media listening platforms, including but not limited to: Talkwalker, Cision, Tubular, Meltwater, etc.
- Filter relevant news coverage and social conversations from irrelevant content based on guidance and definitions established by the client leads
- Extract and critically assess data; ensure data integrity by flagging inconsistencies and illogical patterns
- Read and succinctly summarize news coverage and social conversations
- Accurately categorize media and social media content according to sets of pre-defined topics or concepts
- Identify overall themes and drivers of salient topics discussed in news coverage and social conversations
- Identify salient drivers of spikes in coverage and conversation volumes
- Identify salient drivers of positive and negative sentiment in coverage and conversation
- Use Excel to visualize quantitative data through charts, graphs, tables
- Use PowerPoint to succinctly articulate key points of interest related to data involved news coverage and social conversations
- Proactively offer thoughts, ideas, and suggestions for how the work being done could be made better/more efficient as circumstances arise
- Work autonomously with minimal supervision, managing time effectively to meet deadlines
- Actively manage projects related to data collection and analysis, ensuring timelines are adhered to
- Minimum 5 - 7 years’ experience working with media/social media metrics and performance analytics.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience using Talkwalker, Brandwatch, Netbase, Cision, Meltwater or similar media listening and reporting platform.
- Minimum 5 - 7 years’ experience working with media/social media metrics and performance analytics.
- Strong, proven expertise using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to create data-driven presentations.
- Fluency with integrated measurement best practice and data storytelling.
- Ability to critically evaluate and analyze data (quantitative and qualitative); must be able to answer the question, ‘Does this data makes sense?’ and offer recommendations on action to take when the answer is ‘No, something is not right here’.
- Proficient in data visualization: Expertise in selecting the most suitable visuals for data analysis, focusing on identifying and communicating key trends and patterns.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel: Skilled in utilizing complex formulas and features, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, IFERROR, COUNTIF, and more, to manage and analyze data effectively will be added advantage
- Experience working within healthcare AND/OR tech industries will be added advantage
- Excellent written and verbal English skills required.
- Ability to take on and action feedback provided by the team or client quickly and effectively.
- Ability to work effectively in a globally distributed team environment.
- Ability to responsibly use AI; expectation to flag to team when in use and ensure output accuracy and relevance to brief/challenge at hand.
