- Coordinate with Global Freight Forwarders and local Custom House Agents (CHAs) for timely clearance of import shipments (Air & Sea).
- Manage import documentation (Invoices, Packing List, Air Waybills/Bill of Lading, COA, COO) like collecting, preparing and forwarding the documents from Suppliers/Purchasing Dept to CHA/Finance department timely filing the paper with Customs through Company approved CHAs for speedy clearance of Import cargo.
- Maintain soft copies of import documents (Supplier Invoice, Packing List, Air Waybill/Bill of Lading, COA, COO) in the department.
- Liaise/follow up with Clearing Agents (CHAs), Transporters, internal departments, and Banks to speed up clearance and resolve operational issues.
- Submit Bills of Entry and related documents to Finance for vendor payments.
- Handle DDC shipments by submitting required documents to Drug Controller for timely NoC clearance.
- Ensure compliance with Customs and other regulatory requirements.
- Plan and execute export shipments in SAP aligned with GI dates.
- Prepare and manage export documents (Commercial Invoice, Packing List, COA, COO, Bill of Lading/Air Waybill, and Shipping Instructions) for speedy clearance of Export cargo.
- Coordinate with banks under LC terms for submission of export documents.
- Liaise with Customs, and other statutory bodies for regulatory compliance.
- Manage outbound transporters to ensure timely dispatch of export consignments from factory to port/airport.
- Track shipments until final delivery to overseas customers and update stakeholders.
- Process CHA / Freight Forwarder / Transporter invoices and ensure timely payment.
- Work closely with Finance to facilitate settlement of vendor payments on due date.
- Coordinate with internal teams (Customer Care, Planning, QC, Manufacturing, Warehouse) for shipment readiness.
- Prepare and submit monthly MIS reports covering freight costs, lead times, shipment volumes, and pending cases.
- Actively contribute to process improvements and cost-saving initiatives in logistics.
- Stay updated with new systems, tools, and regulatory changes.
- Meet and liaise, wherever necessary, with Customs and other Government bodies on behalf of the Company.
- Engage with Company-appointed consultants on Import/Export-related legal matters, as required.
- University Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, BA, Engineering or related disciplines or any graduation stream.
- 5 - 7 years of related Logistic experience
- Verbal and written command of English, local languages preference Tamil, Kannada.
- Proficiency in using common PC applications (Word, Excel) and SAP.
