Job Title: Engineering Project ControllerDepartment: EngineeringReports To: Head of Engineering (dotted line report to the Directors of the Company)Location: VADODRAType: Full-Time, On-sitePurpose of the RoleTo act as the central operational controller for all engineering deliverables at ETS, ensuringaccurate, on-time output of GTPs, BOMs, drawings, datasheets, and nameplates across alltransformer verticals. The Engineering Project Controller manages planning, inter-teamcoordination, execution tracking, and downstream readiness with the authority to escalateblockers and align priorities across departments.Primary Responsibilities1. Engineering Execution OversightMaintain a real-time tracker (via SAP + Monday.com) for all confirmed orders and RFQsacross verticals.Monitor engineering output across electrical and mechanical teams including GTPs,wiring diagrams, drawings, BOMs.Track and enforce engineering task commitments through structured follow-up and dailystatus reviews.2. Kickoff & PlanningEnsure Engineering Kickoff Forms are fully filled and reviewed for every new SAP-confirmedorder.Allocate engineering resources weekly based on workload, priorities, and order type.Lock deliverables in Monday.com for transparency and performance tracking.3. Inter-Team & Cross-Functional CoordinationLiaise daily with engineering vertical leads (electrical & mechanical), Planning, SCM,Production, and QA to ensure smooth workflow.Escalate any delays, input gaps, or misalignments to Head of Engineering or COO.Coordinate document readiness for testing, FAT, inspection, and production.4. Documentation & Data ControlMaintain an organized version-controlled archive of issued drawings, BOMs, anddatasheets.Assist engineers in identifying reference designs from past projects to reduce turnaround.Maintain a rework/issues log for root cause analysis and continuous improvement.Strategic Responsibilities (Phase 2/3)Tag and classify past engineering records to support future AI/data analytics efforts.Co-develop SOPs and checklists with the Design Head to institutionalize process discipline.Track department KPIs including average document cycle time, reuse %, issue rate, andengineering release hit rate.Key OutputsWeekly dashboards of engineering task statusDaily tracker updates and query logsWar Room summaries with actions/escalationsHandover readiness status for production or inspectionRework & reuse database for continuous learningKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)% of orders released to production on or before committed dateAverage document cycle time per projectResponse time for basic queriesReference reuse rate (internal designs/BOMs)Accuracy and completeness of tracker updatesRequired Skills & QualificationsDegree or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering3-5 years in transformer project engineering, design coordination, or documentationFamiliarity with SAP, drawing workflows, BOM structures, and engineering recordsWorking knowledge of Monday.com, Excel/Sheets, and dashboard/reporting toolsStrong interpersonal skills for cross-functional coordination and follow-upClear understanding of transformer deliverables and design release sequencesPreferred AttributesHigh ownership and ability to track many moving partsProactive, structured, and delivery-focusedNot a designer, but technically competent to interpret engineering workflowsExperience in ETO (Engineer-to-Order) environments preferred
