- Lead and mentor a team of presales systems engineers, providing guidance and supportcomplex solution selling.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to develop and implement a technical strategy tailored to the unique needs of the India market.
- Serve as a technical advisor to clients, offering expertise and guidance on technology solutions that align with their objectives and requirements.
- Develop and execute a regional pre-sales strategy aligned with India sales goals.
- Represent Extreme's technical value in C-level and strategic customer conversations.
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the systems engineering team, promoting growth and professional advancement.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Sales Engineering or Pre-Sales roles.
- 2+ years in a leadership or management capacity, preferably in a networking vendor environment.
- Deep expertise in enterprise networking (Layer 2/3, VLANs, OSPF, BGP), wireless (Wi-Fi 6/6E), and cloud-managed platforms.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English; ability to lead customer-facing conversations at both technical and executive levels.
- Vendor certifications that demonstrate expertise in networking, wireless technologies, access control and cloud are highly preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Customer-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
