Seeking an experienced Business Development Manager for distribution of OCTG (casing, tubing), Line Pipe, Downhole Tools and PVFF (piping, fittings, flanges) to be supplied to Fabricators, EPC's and end users in India. Focus will primarily be on carbon and stainless products associated with applications in Oil & Gas upstream, midstream and downstream operations and other applications in the Energy industry.Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for identifying and pursuing potential business opportunities within target region in line with SDB's capabilities and business objectives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers and manage sales pipeline to ensure steady growth of business.
- Maintain a growth mindset as it relates to new opportunities and avenues.
- Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to expand the company's presence in target markets.
- Collaborate with the US headquarters and local teams to customize products, services, and marketing strategies for regional markets.
- Participate in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote the company's offerings and build a strong network of contacts.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes, providing insights and recommendations to guide business strategies and to identify upcoming opportunities and develop them.
- Create department SOPs and develop team as per company objectives
- Represent the company in negotiations, meetings, and presentations with potential and existing stakeholders.
- MBA / BBA, B Tech Mechanical, bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 5 to 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas upstream, midstream and downstream operations and other applications in the Energy industry (petrochemical, refining, semiconductor, industrial fabrication etc.) with a focus on OCTG (casing, tubing), Line Pipe, Downhole Tools and PVFF (piping, fittings, flanges) along with other related items.
- Primary relationships with Private, Public and Govt. companies are required.
- Primary relationships with target companies in India will be highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and industry related software.
- Knowledge of region-specific procurement (eg. GeM) and e-bidding (eg. ARIBA) platforms.
- Knowledge of industry standards, practices, and regulations.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
