- Develop, maintain, and execute DBT tests (schema tests, data quality tests, unit tests, custom tests).
- Validate data flowing through ETL pipelines, including ingestion, staging, and transformation layers.
- Conduct end‑to‑end data validation in GCP BigQuery and other cloud components.
- Create and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and test data for data pipelines.
- Identify defects, perform root‑cause analysis, and work with data engineers to ensure timely
- Integrate test suites with CI/CD pipelines and automate execution where applicable.
- Ensure data completeness, accuracy, reconciliation, and adherence to business rules.
- Document test results and provide regular status updates
- Hands-on experience with DBT - writing tests, debugging models, validating data outputs. • Strong SQL skills for complex data validation and transformation logic.
- Experience testing ETL pipelines built on tools such as Big Query
- Strong understanding of GCP services, especially: o BigQuery o Cloud Storage o Cloud Composer (Airflow)
- Familiarity with Python or shell scripting for automation (good to have).
- Experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab, Jenkins, GitHub Actions.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Good communication and cross‑team collaboration.
- Ability to work independently in Agile/Scrum environments
- Experience with version control (Git).
