A Mechanical Maintenance Manager plans, coordinates, and oversees all mechanical maintenance operations to ensure machinery, equipment, and facilities run efficiently and safely. Key responsibilities include developing maintenance strategies, managing a team of technicians, scheduling preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical failures, managing budgets and parts inventory, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance Planning & Execution:Develop and implement maintenance schedules for mechanical systems, equipment, and machinery.Team Management:Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate maintenance technicians and engineers.Troubleshooting & Repairs:Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues to minimize downtime and ensure timely repairs.Preventive & Predictive Maintenance:Establish and oversee programs for preventive and predictive maintenance to improve equipment reliability.Safety & Compliance:Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to company safety policies and regulatory standards.Budget & Inventory:Manage maintenance budgets, control costs, and oversee the procurement and management of spare parts.Vendor Management:Coordinate and manage relationships with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance work.Performance Monitoring:Analyze maintenance data and trends to identify areas for improvement and enhance operational efficiency.Required Skills
Strong leadership and people management skills.
In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and maintenance procedures.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
Experience with
or similar software. * Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
Strong budgeting and cost control skills.
Excellent communication and coordination skills to work with other departments.
