Job Description: * Determine the site reporting structure for progress monitoring.
Work out and finalize progress reporting formats and frequency of reporting with the client.
Provide training to site team/contractor representative if necessary to align with the reporting formats and the system.
Co-ordinate with the site team and contractors to prepare schedule, to the L3/L4 level using Microsoft Project, Primavera, MS excel, in order to meet the timelines in the master schedule L1/L2.
Workout manpower requirement against the timelines of the schedule, with the inputs from site engineers, and communicate the same to the contractors.
Prepare Look Ahead schedules on weekly, fortnightly, monthly as required, and share with site team and the contractors.
Get progress updates from the team/contractors and update the schedule.
Determine critical path and highlight concerns to Project manager/Construction manager/Project Control Manager that affect the timelines of the project. Identify bottle necks, which can be approval of drawings, clearances/decisions pending from client. Provide methods to recover delay viz. increase in manpower, working extra hours etc.
The fundamental responsibility of a Site Project Control Engineer is to provide an early warning to the Site Project Manager/Construction Manager/ Project Control Manager in case there is a probability of project getting delayed.
Provide inputs to the prepare weekly/fortnightly/monthly progress reports.
Prepare recovery plan in case of delays to get back the project on track
