We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Vice President in Global Reconciliations Utility team. The GRS Mumbai team requires an experienced individual to provide senior oversight and leadership in GRS - across CRMR (with special focus on market risk re-reconciliation), as well as for the Asia Cash & Securities team.In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is a Team Manager position at Vice President level within the Firmwide operations division.Since 1935, Morgan Stanley is known as a global leader in financial services, always evolving and innovating to better serve our clients and our communities in more than 40 countries around the world.What you'll do in the role:Manage the CRMR team, and support in the leadership of the C&S teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness in the preparation and delivery of reconciliations.Act as an escalation point and be able to partner with key business and technology stakeholders to ensure timely execution of reconciliation and raise / resolve issue related to upstream data and systems.Lead the team in collaborating across teams, with Risk, Finance and Vendor providers to support the execution, follow-up and clearance of breaks identified on reconciliations.Drive GRS' market risk remediation work - this would involve the development and implementation of a detailed project plan for market risk re-reconciliation, coordination and facilitation of the F2B review of process, oversight and governance framework, in close partnership with the market risk middle office, Finance and technology teams.Manage and maintain an oversight of vendor related processes, risk and controls and documentation, and overall governance.Support change management process.Oversee a team of associates, support a collegial, team atmosphere including idea sharing, learning, and collaboration across the firm, help train and mentor junior team members.What you'll do in the role:The role relates to the performance of reconciliation & providing proof and control for Counterparty & Market Risk Data to the Credit & Market Risk Department, Global Standards and Disclosures and Regulatory Controllers. The Mumbai team is a part of the Global team and will be responsible for supervising & overseeing Credit & Market Risk Reconciliations performed by our third party vendorThe team is responsible for assisting with escalation of issues to appropriate contacts and maintaining control over the Credit & Market Risk Operations processes. Knowledge of Fixed Income, Equity & Commodities ProductsKnowledge of Firm Trading, Operations and Finance SystemsProven analytical and problem solving skills, alongside the ability to assimilate and learn quicklyExcellent verbal and written communication abilities, able to present concepts concisely and confidentlyAttention to detail, accuracy & qualityBusiness Analysis, Risk mindset and CollaborativeStrong Excel / PowerPoint documentation skills a must and Microsoft transformation tooling - Alteryx and PowerBI an added advantage.Ability to work well under pressure, lending control and order to a difficult or pressurised situationAbility to absorb information and learns quickly, Innovation and creative skills, challenges the existing processes and status quo.Previous exposure to Agile and Design Thinking would be an advantageWHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY:We are committed to maintaining the first-class service and high standard of excellence that have defined Morgan Stanley for over 89 years.
