Job DescriptionRole Title: Senior Solution Architect ManagerPosition Summary:This role is responsible for directly managing a team of Solution Architects and taking responsibility for the overall solution architecture of a defined organizational area, typically aligned with one or more Senior Product Owners. They are responsible as a manager for performance management and career development of the Solution Architects within their group. They are also expected to take on solution architecture activities actively.The Senior Solution Architect Manager is primarily responsible for establishing the technical architecture for our largest and most complex solutions while working closely with delivery partners, including Product Owners, Chapter Leads, and Technical Leads, to enable successful delivery. The Senior Solution Architect Manager ensures that solutions are well-architected concerning security, quality, extensibility, maintainability, and performance, and they are implemented to support near and long-term implementation productivity.Senior Solution Architect Managers are accountable for ensuring solutions are integrated into the overall technical landscape guided by Enterprise Architecture standards and patterns. Senior Solution Architect Managers are expected to evaluate various options, identify tradeoffs, and ultimately take accountability to communicate clear recommendations for selecting and implementing effective technical solutions that meet business objectives.The Senior Solution Architect Manager, as a key delivery partner, has the responsibility to help lead the prioritized implementation roadmap and help determine how to effectively execute solution implementation over time. The Senior Solution Architect Manager plays a key leadership role, supporting teams and stakeholders in planning, executing, and delivering technical solutions in alignment with the established target architecture.Senior Solution Architect Managers are expected to be able to provide effective leadership on our most significant and complex initiatives that span multiple teams, rely on numerous Solution Architects, include critical cross-team dependencies, and present new technical and organizational challenges.Senior Solution Architect Managers are expected to ensure Solution Architects remain closely engaged during solution delivery, including incrementally reviewing technical design and implementation to ensure utilization of best practices and adherence to architectural guidance.Senior Solution Architect Managers lead and contribute to defining architecture patterns, buildingreference implementations of these patterns, and proof of technologies to accelerate solution delivery. They actively contribute to the overall Solution Architecture practice by coordinating efforts with other Solution Architects and providing guidance and mentorship to other Solution Architects.The Senior Solution Architect Manager is a deeply experienced solution designer who contributes a breadth of experience and broad expertise to amplify the team's and other Solution Architects' ability to deliver high-value complex technical solutions effectively. The Senior Solution Architect Manager demonstrates increased leadership ability, breadth of experience, and depth of expertise relative to Solution Architects and is an influential people manager.Job Responsibilities:

Instill a Technical Design: Leads solution design across one or more initiatives focused on our largest and most complex solutions. Ensures designs adhere to enterprise standards and best practices. Identifies architecturally significant items required to realize a solution roadmap. Defines and communicates solution architecture recommendations in the context of alternative options with consideration of key tradeoffs. Proactively identifies potential risks, limitations, and alternative approaches through the design process to best position teams to meet business objectives.
Technical Delivery: Works closely with delivery stakeholders and teams, providing technical leadership to support the successful implementation and delivery of designed solutions. Continuously works with teams to plan and influence the work breakdown and execution sequence to optimize team delivery. Actively engages in problem-solving and iterative design to ensure solutions meet quality standards, performance benchmarks, and functional requirements in alignment with architectural guidance. Identifies and influences management and mitigation of risks and impediments, including cross-team dependencies. Collaborates with teams on iterative analysis and design through implementation to ensure successful delivery. Selectively contributes to technical implementations to provide hands-on guidance when it is crucial for delivery success. Responsible for supporting all aspects of technical delivery, including but not limited to design, implementation, end-to-end testing, and release to production.
Enterprise Alignment: Collaborates with Enterprise Architects and lead teams to design, plan, and implement systems in alignment with established enterprise technology guidance. Responsible for helping to coordinate the remediation of existing systems to bring them in alignment with prioritized enterprise technology initiatives. Contributes to the definition, implementation, and utilization of enterprise-level reference architecture initiatives.
Oversight and Control Frameworks: Evaluate the technical health of systems by monitoring quality, security, and performance in alignment with evolving standards and expectations. Support control frameworks for compliance with regulations and internal policies. Conducts audits and assessments to address gaps or vulnerabilities and design, plan, and help coordinate remediation activities.
Management: Manages a group of Solution Architects

Skill and Experience:

9 -12years of Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions

Additional Experience Qualifier (optional):

10+ years of contribution to delivering technical solutions in the area of focus.
7+ years designing, developing, and implementing technical solutions from concept through to delivery.
5+ years experience providing technical leadership for solution teams with five or more team members.
2+ years experience directly managing 3+ individual contributors.
Strong understanding of the target technology stack through professional experience as a senior-level individual contributor or architect.
Proven ability to break architectural and implementation problems into logically smaller deliverables
Ability to define, maintain, and manage architecture models and artifacts
Strong ability to influence and persuade solution participants and stakeholders to support proposed architectural approaches
Proven ability to mentor team members to enhance their ability to contribute to successful design and delivery effectively
Proven ability to resolve conflicts within teams before they escalate (mediation skills)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to the audience. Can communicate complex technology concepts to non-technical audiences
Able to align team members on architectural direction complex technical decisions and build consensus across the team
Ability to facilitate communications between key contributors, dependencies, and stakeholders, acting as a single point of contact for cross-functional solution architecture

Must Have Skills:

Enterprise Software Architecture: Expertise in designing scalable, robust enterprise software solutions using established design frameworks.
Programming & DevSecOps: Proficient in .NET, C# with strong DevSecOps practices and secure coding principles.
Cloud & Containerization: In-depth knowledge of cloud-native architectures, microservices, and container technologies.
Data & Performance Optimization: Skilled in data management, performance tuning, and system modeling for complex architectures.
Integration & Emerging Tech: Experience with API and GraphQL integration, cybersecurity, AI technologies, and IT network security practices.

Education and Certifications:

4 Year / Bachelors Degree
Computer Science, Software Engineering
