To manage the sourcing, procurement, and timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services required for operations and projects, while ensuring cost-efficiency, quality standards, and compliance with company policies.🎯 Key Responsibilities🔹 1. Procurement & SourcingIdentify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and service.Float RFQs (Request for Quotations), evaluate offers, and negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules.Compare technical specifications and ensure they meet engineering/project requirements.🔹 2. Purchase Order ManagementIssue Purchase Orders (POs) based on approved requisitions.Track and expedite orders to ensure timely delivery.Coordinate with stores and production for material planning and receipt.🔹 3. Vendor ManagementMaintain vendor database and relationships.Conduct supplier evaluations and audits.Develop alternate sources for critical items to reduce dependency and risk.🔹 4. Cost Control & BudgetingAchieve cost savings through effective negotiation and sourcing strategies.Monitor market trends to predict material price fluctuations.Ensure adherence to procurement budget.🔹 5. Coordination & DocumentationLiaise with Engineering, Production, Projects, and Finance departments.Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation (POs, GRNs, invoices, etc.).Ensure procurement compliance with internal policies and external regulations.🔹 6. ERP / MIS ReportingUse ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally, etc.) for procurement workflows.Generate procurement reports and dashboards for management review.📘 Qualifications & Skills🎓 Educational QualificationBachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Civil / Production, etc.)MBA / PGD in Supply Chain, Materials Management, or Operations (preferred for managerial roles)
