- Design and Execute Tests: Design, set up, and execute a wide range of tests, including but not limited to:
- Type Tests: Hands On experience in Short-circuit withstand, lightning impulse withstand, power-frequency withstand, temperature rise, mechanical endurance, IP rating, etc., according to IEC and other relevant standards.
- Routine Tests: Dielectric tests, resistance measurements, mechanical operation tests, etc.
- Functional Tests: Operational performance, interlocking mechanisms, protection system functionality, etc.
- Environmental Tests: Temperature cycling, humidity tests, vibration tests (as applicable).
- Test Equipment and Instrumentation: Select, configure, and maintain test equipment and instrumentation required for accurate and reliable testing. Ensure proper calibration and functionality.
- Data Acquisition and Analysis: Collect, record, and analyze test data. Prepare comprehensive test reports documenting the test setup, procedures, results, and any deviations or failures.
- Identify and Resolve Issues: Investigate test failures, identify root causes, and work collaboratively with design and production teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Standards Compliance: Ensure that all verification and validation activities are conducted in compliance with relevant national and international standards (e.g., IEC 62271 series), customer specifications, and internal quality procedures.
- Documentation and Traceability: Maintain accurate and traceable records of all V&V activities, including plans, test procedures, test reports, and defect tracking.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, production engineers, quality assurance, and sales/marketing, to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving V&V processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
