- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 5+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.Role Overview:We are looking for experienced engineers with strong expertise in FPGA Prototyping and Emulation to join our team at Qualcomm Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building, validating, and debugging complex SoC/IP designs using FPGA prototyping and emulation platforms.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain FPGA-based prototypes and emulation environments for SoC/IP validation.
- Integrate and validate high-speed and low-speed interfaces on emulation/FPGA platforms.
- Collaborate with design and verification teams to ensure functional correctness and performance.
- Debug hardware/software issues and provide timely solutions.
- Optimize prototyping/emulation flows for faster turnaround and improved coverage.
- 6 to 10 years of experience in FPGA Design/FPGA Prototyping (A Must).
- Good understanding of FPGA architecture, RTL design (Verilog/SystemVerilog), integration, and static timing analysis.
- Familiarity with high-speed and low speed protocols such as PCIe, UFS, USB, EMAC, I2C, SPI, UART.
- Familiarity with DDR interfaces and memory subsystem integration.
- Hands-on experience with FPGA prototyping and/or Emulation platforms.
- Good understanding of SoC architecture and verification methodologies.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, TCL) for automation.
- Exposure to software bring-up on FPGA/emulation platforms.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
