- Strategic Leadership Develop and maintain a long-term vision and technology roadmap aligning engineering goals with business objectives.
- Technical Expertise Provide technical guidance and expertise to the team, ensuring high standards of quality and performance. In-depth knowledge of software development methodologies, best practices, and emerging technologies. Experience with Cloud Computing, Big Data, AI / ML is highly desirable. Very good understanding of software architecture & patterns is desirable.
- Retail savvy you are passionate about using technology to build solutions, as well as are well versed in retail store operations systems. Familiarity with store environment in context of network, cloud connectivity, mobile app usage & data complexity is essential.

- Bachelors or masters degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proven experience in a senior technical leadership role, preferably within Grocery or Retail Store Operations.
- Previous experience building & implementing digital solutions for store associates is preferred.
- A minimum of 15+ years of experience in software engineering with at-least 7 years in leadership positions.
- An ability to move quickly and effectively, and is an effective communicator who uses excellent judgment and problem-solving skills.
- The capability to think strategically while also rolling up your sleeves to do the work and execute.
- Ability to stay current with industry trends and technologies.
- Ability to work up and down the leadership range, with good flexibility to shift quickly between strategy and tactics.
- Sound quantitative and analytical skills and abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices.
