The primary responsibility of this role is to perform various tasks related to content for the video catalog quality, under general supervision. The day to day job requires the individual to make judgment-based decisions by following a standard operating procedure. This could involve tasks such as:
- Individual will perform quality assurance testing on video, audio, closed captioning, and subtitle files.
- Individual will perform incoming QC of the client supplied materials (audio, video, subtitles, and graphics) for file production.
- Individual will perform emulation QC of several different types of files (linear playback testing of audio, video and subtitles; closed captioning; etc.).
- Individual will perform file QCs using various playback programs. (VLC, QuickTime, etc.)
- Basic Knowledge in Audio Video Editing
- Visual quality assurance testing of compressed video material.
- Audible quality assurance testing of encoded audio material.
- Visual quality assurance testing of subtitle (text) files.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum bachelors Degree needed
- 0 TO 1+ Years’ experience working with post production house or studios
- Knowledge on Audio Video Editing tools and software's
- A passion for media & entertainment and streaming services
- The ability to apply critical thinking and provide analysis while working with creative content
- Detail-oriented, ability to prioritize tasks and take judgment calls to deliver quality against accelerated timelines
- Demonstrated ability to engage with a culturally diverse and global team
- Proficiency in English language
- Experience and understanding of digital media and/or digital video supply chain
- Passionate about understanding customers and their behavior in order to drive new feature development
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience managing, getting things done, and communicating relevant results to stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with studios, third party service providers and streaming platforms.
