The Functional Safety Manager plans and manages functional safety activities for a product throughout its life cycle, working closely with project management and engineering departments to prepare proper technical and safety concepts.General Responsibilities

Lead, coordinate and own the Functional Safety Plan to ensure work product compliance according to the relevant standards and customer requirements.
Participate in development of functional safety tools, trainings, and process.
Lead in discussions on functional safety requirements with the customer and cascade them to systems, subsystems, and component levels.
Lead in verification and confirmation reviews to ensure compliance with safety standards including safety analyses D-FMEA, FMEDA, FTA, FFI, etc.
Gathers compliance documentations and evidence (safety case).
Sign off work products.
Lead in regular or escalation meetings with customer Functional Safety Managers.
Organize necessary training and internal seminars/workshops to ensure team’s knowledge of standardization match with our project requirements.

Experience / Qualifications

A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
