Job Title: AEM Guides DeveloperThe roles and responsibilities:
  • Own and manage the authoring and publishing workflows in AEM Guides, including troubleshooting and triaging workflow issues.
  • Support users with access issues and provide technical assistance for the platform.
  • Maintain and administer the AEM Guides platform after handoff from the integration partner, including configuration and bespoke development support.
  • Collaborate closely with the integration partner during the migration and implementation phase, then independently manage the platform.
  • Partner with the team of knowledge content engineers and other ecosystem stakeholders to ensure smooth platform operations and support.
  • Apply expertise in DITA XML and XSLT for effective platform management.
  • The role is focused on platform administration, configuration, and monitoring, not content creation.
Candidate Profile to Focus On:
  • Strong technical expertise in AEM, ideally with experience in AEM Guides and platform implementation.
  • Solid engineering background, capable of managing and troubleshooting a complex content management system.
  • Experience with DITA XML and XSLT is required; deep expertise preferred but openness to learn is acceptable if AEM skills are strong.
  • Ability to work independently as an individual contributor, with initial guidance from the integration partner.
  • Not a content creator or technical writer; focus should be on candidates with platform administration and engineering skills.
  • Preference for candidates with prior implementation experience, but candidates with strong AEM knowledge and willingness to learn are also considered.
  • AEM Guides experience is the top priority, followed by general AEM expertise.
Bangalore India (Hybrid, WFO - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)Job DescriptionAs the AEM Developer / CCMS Administrator, you will own the ongoing administration, configuration, and maintenance of the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Guides Component Content Management System (CCMS) for the KMS team. This role will partner closely with the CCMS software/implementation vendor, engineering, and KMS Knowledge Engineering teams to ensure a robust, scalable, and efficient content ecosystem. The administrator will be responsible for content-specific systems configuration, authoring, translation, and delivery workflow optimization, and supporting content delivery across multiple content pipelines and channels.Key Responsibilities
CCMS Administration & Configuration
o Own administration and configuration of authoring and publishing workflows in the AEM Guides CCMS, including management of DTDs, templates, transforms to various outputs and
delivery channels.
o Apply expertise in DITA and structured authoring to update and maintain CCMS components and configuration based on KMS information model, topic-based authoring strategies, and
content reuse mechanisms.
o Work with KMS to review and optimize authoring workflows, automations, and quality checks including maintenance of Schematron rules.
o Ensure CCMS data and workflows support downstream use including content and performance analytics, internal and external search, and AI/LLM consumption.
o Monitor content creation processes, performance, and system stability; proactively identify and resolve issues.
o Manage user access, roles, and permissions within the CCMS.
o Help create and maintain documentation of best practices, system configurations, workflows, troubleshooting, and training materials for internal teams.Technical Partnership & Implementation Support
o Work closely with the implementation vendor team during the initial configuration and rollout, actively participating in design, development, and testing activities.
o Serve as the primary point of contact for knowledge transfer from implementation partner, ensuring comprehensive understanding of the configured system, architecture, and custom
solutions.
o Collaborate with the implementation partner to ensure thorough documentation of the AEM Guides solution, configurations, and processes, enabling a smooth and complete handover of
ownership.
o Take ownership of the AEM Guides platform post-implementation, including ongoing development, system/API integrations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and updates/enhancements.
o Collaborate with KMS team of content strategists, localization experts, knowledge engineers, and information architect to regularly review requirements, prioritize the backlog, and
identify enhancements and updates for the entire content team.Basic Qualifications:
5+ years' experience administering AEM Guides or similar DITA-based CCMS.
Strong knowledge and practical experience of DITA (concepts, maps, topics, specializations) and proficiency with DITA-OT.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with XML, XSLT, and XPath.
Experience supporting authoring workflows and publishing pipelines.
Familiarity with content migrations, conversions, and metadata management.
Experience partnering with implementation vendors and engineering teams.
Experience supporting multi-channel content delivery and localization workflows.
Excellent documentation, communication, and training skills.
Experience with AEM Guides, AEM Assets, and related Adobe products.
Familiarity with knowledge management or large-scale content operations.
Experience supporting AI-driven content analytics or search.
Prior experience working with global, distributed teams and suppliers.Suggested Skills:
