Read on…What you’ll do in the role:We're seeking someone to join our Technology COO team in Mumbai as an Associate in expense governance function to oversee and ensure timely accurate review of various employee requests, expense claims in accordance with Global expense policy. Creation and maintenance of process documents, while implementing best practices to enhance operational efficiency and supporting governance, compliance and reporting initiatives.Contribute to the function through a range of operational activities and project tasks, developing an understanding of the business and operating environment.Review Concur expense claims and update tracker with review comments.Ensure that requests processed strictly adhere to the expense policy defined at global as well as division level and record / report exceptions to the management.Manage stakeholder queries and assist them with tool and policy-related questions.Timely review of Ariba, MyApps, Corp Mobile and other related requests submitted by employees.Assist in governance to ensure tracking of progress and managing escalation.Perform a detailed Month on Month trend analysis and compare with division budgeCreate and maintain process documents consistent with company policies and procedure.Identify and implement best practices to improve efficiencies in how we operate.During implementation of various initiatives, you will be responsible for tracking progress, escalating issues, risks, and challenges.What you’ll bring to the role:Bachelor's degree in commerce, finance, accounting or a related field.Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in financial analysis. Vendor management experience or related field is a plus.Ability to engage with the broader team, communicate goals, tasks and deliverables in 1-1 and team meetings.Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when processing invoices and handling financial records.Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel for data analysis (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc)Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw actionable insightsCommunication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of effectively interacting with cross-functional teams and external vendors.Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage time effectively.Ability to pick up new systems quickly.Demonstrate outstanding work ethic.Strong sense of ownership and accountability for work.Time Management: Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment without compromising accuracy.Team Player: A collaborative mindset with the ability to work well in a team-oriented setting.At least 2 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY:We are committed to maintaining the first-class service and high standard of excellence that have defined Morgan Stanley for over 89 years.
