Job Description Summary The role is responsible for working with the Site EHS Leader to develop and deploy Environmental Health & Safety programs & policies to mitigate risk, drive regulatory compliance and establish a positive EHS culture. The EHS Specialist will be responsible for day-to-day EHS leadership and support, which includes the development, planning and implementation of Environmental Health and Safety programs based on local regulations and GE HealthCare Policies.GE HealthCare is a leading global medical technology and digital solutions innovator. Unlock your ambition, turn ideas into world-changing realities, and join an organization where every voice makes a difference, and every difference builds a healthier world.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesManage implementation of EHS programs by operationalizing EHS partnering with leadership to ensure compliance with applicable laws, local regulations and GEHC policies.EHS technical expertise in managing High Risk Operations; including LOTO (Lockout Tagout), Electrical, PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), MOC (Management of Change), Risk Assessment, Emergency Preparedness, Radiation safety, etc.Drive rigor and execution to EHS programs, EHS objectives & metrics integrate EHS in day to day operations.Drive active EHS engagement & management of change.Influence cross functional teams to operationalize and standardize EHS work practicesLead incident investigations and drive closure of effective corrective/preventive actions.Analyze trends and performance, provide routine feedback, and drive actions to improve performanceInteract with environmental, health and safety regulatory agencies as neededExecute required actions to implement and operationalize a sustainable EHS management system (GEHC EHS Framework 2.0)Drive EHS compliance and programs effectiveness through audits, process / equipment reviews and site inspectionsManage key performance Indicators (KPI) for the Site and drive necessary efforts to achieve themLead incident investigations and drive closure of effective corrective/preventive actionsAnalyze trends and performance, provide routine feedback, and drive actions to improve performanceAssure 100% completion of training, audits and other compliance aspects throughout the organizationExperience with EHS aspects of chemical management or product stewardship and/or sustainabilityRequired QualificationsBachelors or Masters in Environmental Engineering and Diploma in Industrial Safety.4+ years experience leading environmental and safety compliance programs in manufacturing environmentFamiliar with incident investigation methodologies including 5-WhyExcellent communications skillsDemonstrated ability to organize, motivate and influence teams, drive change and interact cross functionally.Desired CharacteristicsHigh say/do ratioSelf-starter with high energyAdvanced computer skills with specific expertise in GensuiteExpert knowledge of state and local regulations and codes/standardsInclusion and DiversityGE HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer where inclusion matters.
