The primary focus of this position is to own the development and optimization of the packaging assembly processes to meet the schedule of business cases. To work on new product introduction and improving the yield, quality and reliability with process characterization and optimization and new materials, machines & technologies introduction. This position will also require you to drive continues improvement by improving the process margins and process capabilities. You will also be required to identify, diagnose, and resolve assembly process related problems by applying problem solving skillsPrimary Responsibilities:Serves as the Subject Matter Expert in assembly process and acts as the resource and content expert with regards of the material and process in Backend Assembly. Maintain in-depth assembly process and packaging knowledge, included materials and equipment knowledge as packaging integration. Defines process requirement/ specifications, which include process parameters, machinery set-ups, operating conditions, set points, tolerances, processing procedures and packaging specifications, based on a strong understanding of process and material requirements to meet product specifications. Evaluate and Improve Assigned Assembly Processes, Materials, and/or Equipment Identify all process variables, and Optimize process and/or equipment variables Develop Process of Record (POR), define process edges and center the process (CPK), Apply DOE (Design of Experiments) techniques for process characterization Participate and drive in process, tool and material optimization to drive best in class packaging solutions and ensure first pass NPI qualification. Provide ideas for cost reduction Develop Process Capability Roadmap and Evaluate Equipment and/or Material Technologies Serves as a resource on FMEA's, Change Management, Designed Experiments, Six Sigma, and other process control tools. Develop and maintain systems including performance measurements, failure costs, control systems, quality standards, product and process capability for all raw materials and finished products by utilizing such tools as statistical methods, pareto charts, flow charting and failure mode effects analysis. Provides direction, coaching, and training for all process team members and ensures they work safely. Utilizes process control methodology (Six Sigma, SPC, Designed Experiments, etc.) to solve problems and improve process control and capability. Perform containment of process and equipment deviations, and lead root cause finding and implement corrective actions Validate and document baseline the POR, TOR and BOM for the transferred products and packagesQualification & Experience:Experience:3+ years of experience in a development role is preferred though fresh graduates are encourage to applyEducation Requirement:
  • Ph.D. or Masters Degree in Mechanical/ Chemical/ Material/ Electrical and Computer Engineering with focus on Semiconductor (relevant academic background can be considered)
  • Rich understanding and experience in semiconductor devices and processes
  • Strong understanding of statistics
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:Familiar with SPC, FMEA, DOE, TPM, OCAP, JMP, RCA, Control Plan, Working Instruction, Predictive Maintenance.The ideal candidate will have strong material science knowledge or knowledge of semiconductor device physics or experience with device processing and integration, test structure definition, design rule generation, DOE, failure analysis, and device characterization is preferred.Job Profile(s):Product Development Eng (Supervisory) 4Relocation level: (TBD)Before Getting Started
