Job PurposeThe University Compliance role will be responsible for all functions related to compliance and filings as required by the Universities' abroad for education consultancy. The role will be responsible for overall initiatives, communications and documentations required for continued engagement with Universities.Job Responsibilities:
  • Identifying new universities / colleges and applying for representation to those universities or colleges in a particular country for which we need representation.
  • Renewal of certification like AAERI, AIRC certification etc. on an annual basis.
  • As the number of students abroad increases, education abroad professionals must ensure that their compliance protocols are appropriate for this overseas environment. This also includes new tie-ups with institutions in different countries and ensuring continued relationship with the current universities.
  • The role will be responsible for constantly reviewing and updating our documentations/process and policy to ensure 100% compliance as required by the universities and new tie-ups.
  • Should be able to supervise and guide the compliance team on all aspects of compliance and regulations as required by the current universities and proposed new universities
  • Maintain SLAs for the team in all compliance needs.
Job Requirements:
  • Hands on experience of identifying compliance needs and implementing a compliance process. Ensure that university requirements, audits and checks are successfully completed.
  • Weekly review the list of university agreements which are due to expire and follow up to get the renewed agreements.
  • Executing the checklist/compliances to be followed after getting a new tie up.
  • Conduct periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure that compliance procedures are followed
assess product, compliance, or operational risks and develop risk management strategies. * Weekly / monthly maintenance of compliance documents with relation to existing university tie-ups and proposed tie-ups
  • Reports from various databases, including universities and regulatory tracking as needed.
  • MIS reporting. Verify weekly monthly compliance reports to ensure accuracy.
Ensure compliance with university related rules and regulations for our services. * Evaluating and participation in industry forums and events like ICEF agent workshops, NAFSA annual conference etc.
  • Evaluate and improvise the current process and practices to keep with current trends and external benchmarks.
  • Periodically review and update all compliance process as required by the universities.
  • Develop reports for performance assessment. Maintain and process confidential records and files.
  • Provide resolution to compliance related issues.
  • Graduate in Law
  • 5-6 years of relevant work experience in the services industry like Education Consultancy/ life insurance industry /Banking etc
  • Competence in interpreting compliance needs, laws and regulations
  • Should have handled audit / inspection/review assignments independently
  • Understanding of Education Services industry and regulations like that of NAFSA
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)
