It involves setting operational targets and driving operational rigor.Job Description:Essential Responsibilities:

Directly manages software development projects (including program management) and execution through individual contributors. May also lead project teams across platforms or groups
Implements processes to drive strong operational hygiene for all components and systems within their group
Responsible for the delivery of projects, including quality and timeliness, that impact their domain and potentially one other
Demonstrates strong tactical ability by managing the roadmap for a scrum team responsible for technical issues of diverse scope where analysis requires an understanding of current business or tends
Competent at communicating technical issues with non-technical audiences
Analyzes multiple sources of information and identifies & resolves complex technical, operational, and organizational problems relating to software development.
Collaborates with direct team, managers in org, stakeholders such as Product Owners & PMO

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

The person is a highly motivated, versatile, hands-onEngineering Manager responsible for leading a team of skilled engineers, helping with design,implementation and delivering of state-of-the-art web and mobile experiences for the customersin India and similar emerging markets.The ideal candidate is an individual with deep experiences in building customer facing productsthat involve web interfaces, mobile applications, as well as mid-tier and backend components.Business acumen, hands-on technology skills, positive work ethic and a collaborative mind setare key to the success of this role.The prospective candidate will be working with various cross functional groups (business,product, analytics, user experience design and engineering) and will require admirablearticulation, negotiation and influencing skills given the level of visibility. The person is alsoexpected to manage a team of about 10 engineers, and constantly groom them into strongprofessionals. Experience or Awareness of the payments industry is a big plus.Key Responsibilities:

Exhibit leadership and management skills to design, develop and deliver high impact initiatives for PayPal India and emerging markets.
Responsible for end-end development life cycle of web and mobile products and features.
Manage the daily activities of the engineering team working on Agile scrum model.
Demonstrate high degree of people focus and be a team player who can collaborate effectively across various teams within PayPal with integrity and commitment.
Be highly customer centric and bat towards delivering customer delight through the. products and features.
Act as a bridge between product and technology teams and marry business needs with technology solves.
Demonstrate Team and Stakeholder management skills towards meeting project timelines and delivery commitments.
Work closely with our integration teams and merchant partners to arrive at best-in-class payments experiences for our merchants.
Actively work towards developing products that meet high standards of convenience, security, performance and reliability for our consumers and merchants.
Work closely with the solutions architect, engineering leaders and the engineering team to deliver solutions for the customers.
Have strong business and technical vision and the ability to communicate this vision to multiple audiences. Sense evolving business trends and translate them into needs into technology solves.
Represent the company in external industry and academic forums

Technical Skills:

Demonstrated experience with building large-scale web and mobile based software
Solid understanding of Web platforms, scripting technologies with keen focus on ease of use, security and performance.
Strong Object-oriented programming skills and expertise in one of Java/J2EE or C++.
Working experience with databases such as MSSQL/ Oracle etc.
Knowledge of mobile programming in Android/iOS is a plus.
Experience and exposure to one or few of the following: Python or Scala or NoSQL.

Qualifications:

BSCS plus 12+ years / MSCS plus 10 years of experience in software design, development and architecture
