You will be working as Sales Support Specialist at global grade 13 and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore or Chennai, India. In this role you will be reporting to Global Engineering Manager and will be responsible for working with a Sales Support Specialist for Energy Sector covering Offshore, FPSO, Offshore Wind, Subsea, Onshore pipeline, terminals, Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Refineries, Power and Water Automation Your responsibilities Supporting the local Sales organization or customers in determining the most technically appropriate, cost-effective solutions and in the preparation of demanding offers Providing technical support during the technical meetings, workshops, product presentations, negotiations and offers product or solution or service - related training Following ABB defined sales and bid process while leading or preparing or supporting development of technical or commercial offers based on customer specification requirements Defining cost for the proposed solution and communicating to Sales organization. Coordinating with procurement team to get best costs from internal and third- party suppliers Provides information to the risk review process in accordance with ABB policy and sometimes participates in the risk review assessment Analyzing customer needs and competitor offers through general market information and information provided by the Sales organization Performing win or lost proposal analysis, identifying potential cause and recommending future actions in cooperation with Sales or Local Business Unit to obtain better future results Your background BE or B. Tech in Electronics or Control or Instrumentation Engineering Minimum 10+ years of experience in bidding or tendering for Turnkey projects in Automation (DCS or PLC or Safety PLC or Power Management Systems) solutions including cybersecurity for energy industries - ideally in Oil and Gas Experience in developing strong customer and internal relationships locally and globally. Open to learn ABB Digital platform for advance automation solution.
