- Be the category manager for worldwide design services and travel for Rambus
- Take ownership of the development and implementation of the indirect procurement category strategies, including projects related but not limited to cost reduction initiatives, contract negotiation and supplier relationship
- Be accountable for the negotiation strategies for your category, including all of the negotiation preparation, internal alignment of the strategy, and execution of the strategy
- Analyze and leverage data analytics to enable business and procurement strategies aligned to business priorities
- Collaborate with internal teams, including business units, finance, legal, engineering, and management for escalation issues
- Support other category managers for EMEA and APAC specific procurement activities
- Manage supplier performance & conduct supplier evaluation including action plans in key areas of Cost, Technology, Reliability, Assurance of Supply, Quality, etc. for any critical suppliers included in your category
- Partner with, and guide business owners with activities including, but not limited to identifying the procurement requirements, developing RFI/RFPs, selecting and onboarding suppliers
- Lead a monthly Procurement Savings meeting, including driving the format and information included, assuring the savings tracker is updated and maintained, and driving continuous improvements to the function and purpose of the meeting
- Support the following Procurement processes:
- Issuing PO’s for EMEA and APAC purchases
- Supporting PR creations for the operations team as needed
- Onboarding new suppliers
- Validating supplier bank and name changes
- Perform semi-annual ERP customization testing in preparation for semi-annual ERP updates, as well as testing all new enhancements to the ERP system
- Be the Indirect Procurement team champion for ERP enhancements and improvements including the following activities:
- Be the team expert in D365 functionality, coordinating closely with the Business Improvement IT team
- Leading the bi-weekly ERP enhancements meeting to drive continuous improvement to the D365 system
- Supporting development and improvements on new and existing ERP reports to aid in analysis by the entire Procurement team
- Help improve and drive best in class procurement processes and drive strategic initiatives aligned with corporate goals
- Strong leaderships skills and accountability are a must
- At least 5 years of experience in procurement
- A good understanding of the semiconductor market and manufacturing process
- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Business Administration/Management, Supply Chain Management, IT, Engineering or similar field of study
- A strong interest in negotiation and willingness to engage in critical conversations and complex problem solving
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group internally and externally
