  • We are looking for a Rock Star with a winning track record in Big Data, RDBMS, and Servicenow architecture.
  • Will be responsible for the enrichment, management, and quality of organizational and product usage data.
  • They will be responsible for enforcing data governance policies and best practices and developing documentation on data assets.
  • Will also work closely with Servicenow data visualization analysts and data scientists to help prepare data for models and build dashboards.
  • The ideal candidate should have a background in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, equivalent quantitative field or related practical experience with an obsession on data quality and efficient query writing. They should have an outstanding ability to foster relationships with staff across departments and be motivated to continuously achieve positive results.
  • They should also be able to effectively handle ad hoc requests and multitask with ease and little guidance.
  • Additionally, He/She will execute our roadmap to implement, optimize, and evolve our data governance frameworks, governance processes and key usage metrics.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Instrumenting data collection on the Servicenow platform
  • Support the ongoing management and enhancement of products and usage data while sustaining operational effectiveness
  • Enforce company data policies and procedures to ensure data quality and reduce discrepancies
  • Identify any data integrity issues and deep dive to find the root cause.
  • Collaborating with analysts and data scientists alike on available data sources
  • Developing/maintaining documentation on current governance processes and enhancements
  • Partnering across the company’s multiple data teams to meet analytics and data deliverables
  • Develop workflows, processes, SLAs, and documentation for product usage data governance.
  • Maintain in-depth understanding of how data flows around the business, who uses it, and how.
  • Share reporting with business units related to their KPI instrumentation and collection.
Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience in big data analytics, database management, or an equivalent analyst position with experience in PL/SQL and an additional object-oriented programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript)
  • At least 3 years of experience developing on the Servicenow platform
  • Effective problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and report simultaneously across different stakeholders
  • Structured thinking with ability to easily break down ambiguous problems and propose impactful data modeling designs
  • Passion for analyzing large and complex data sets and converting them into the information which drive business decisions
  • Attention to detail, organization and effective verbal/written communication skills
  • Experience in big data instances: Cloudera, Snowflake, and the like.
  • Proven track record in rolling out self-service analytics solutions (e.g. Power BI, Tableau Server Ask Data, good to have Servicenow Performance Analytics)
  • Solid decision-making, negotiation, and persuasion skills, often in ambiguous situations
  • Must be able to work in fast-paced environment and be able to adapt to changing requirements.
  • Working knowledge of data governance best practices
  • Experience with defining, building, and implementing standards and operating models
  • Experience working in Scrum/Agile development environments
  • Attention to detail, organization, and effective verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and technical information into more consumable terms
Desired qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Servicenow platform and products
  • Experience working in Scrum/Agile development environments
  • Familiarity with IT service management software (ITSM), PaaS, and SaaS
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
