Purpose of the Role:To shape product strategies, drive project execution, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver market-aligned automotive and EV products on time and within scope.Job Responsibilities:
  • Product Planning:
  • Conduct market research and analyze trends, consumer behavior, and the competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop product roadmaps aligned with organizational goals.
  • Generate actionable insights for product differentiation and enhanced customer value.
  • Analyze regulatory and policy developments impacting automotive and EV markets.
  • Product Lifecycle Management:
  • Define and document product requirements, focusing on EV technology, battery systems, and mobility trends.
  • Evaluate feasibility, cost implications, and time-to-market for new products or updates.
  • Monitor product performance post-launch and recommend enhancements.
  • Strategic Planning:
  • Support long-term product strategy by identifying emerging technologies and industry shifts.
  • Partner with marketing and sales teams to strategize new launches, highlighting unique selling points (USPs) of EV products.
  • Project Management:
  • Lead projects related to automotive and EV product development and launch.
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables with stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, track progress, and ensure timely completion.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources using project management tools.
  • Identify potential risks and devise mitigation strategies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Coordinate with design, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.
  • Facilitate communication between internal departments and external partners.
  • Reporting & Documentation:
  • Prepare status reports for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of project and product development processes.
Stakeholder Profiles & Nature of Interactions:
  • Internal: Collaboration with product management, marketing, sales, design, engineering, and senior management.
  • External: Interaction with external partners, suppliers, and stakeholders involved in product development and launch.
Desired Candidate Profile:
  • Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related (MBA preferred).
  • Experience: 5-7 years in product planning/project management in automotive/technology sectors.
  • Knowledge: Expertise in EV technology, automotive, and emerging trends.
  • Industry: Automotive and Electric Vehicles (EV).
Skills & Competencies:
  • Presentation: Proficient in PowerPoint, Canva, and public speaking.
  • Analytical: Ability to synthesize market data and provide actionable insights.
  • Technical: Knowledge of automotive products, EVs, and AI integration.
  • Project Management: Proficient in MS Project, JIRA, Excel, and data analytics.
  • Interpersonal: Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Strategic: Align projects with organizational goals.
