A Dispatch Manager in Transport & Logistics oversees daily transportation operations, scheduling, and driver management to ensure timely deliveries and optimal routes. They bridge the gap between warehouses, drivers, and customers, handling logistics documentation, compliance, and team performance, while optimizing costs and resolving delivery issues.Key Responsibilities
  • Dispatch & Routing: Plan, schedule, and dispatch freight, optimizing delivery routes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise drivers and dispatch personnel, assigning tasks, providing training, and tracking performance.
  • Tracking & Communication: Monitor shipment status in real-time, providing updates to customers and resolving unexpected delays or issues.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Ensure compliance with transportation laws, safety regulations, and documentation, including Eway Bills, LRs, and invoicing.
  • Inventory Coordination: Liaise with warehouse and production teams to ensure product availability for dispatch.
  • Fleet Management: Oversee vehicle maintenance and usage to ensure reliability.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience: Previous experience as a Logistics/Dispatch Manager or in a similar role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in dispatch software,
, and transport management systems (e.g., Tally, ERP). * Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational, decision-making, and communication skills, with the ability to work under high pressure.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
