We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager with a strong background in IT services and proven expertise in platforms like Upwork. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a keen eye for opportunity, and the ability to drive growth through client acquisition, relationship building, and team leadership.Key Responsibilities:- Generate high-quality leads and opportunities through Upwork and other platforms.- Create and submit compelling business proposals, RFPs, and project documentation tailored to client needs.- Understand client requirements thoroughly and ensure clear communication and handover to development teams.- Drive the entire business development cycle - from lead generation to deal closure.- Communicate with international clients (primarily USA, UK, and Europe) via email, video calls, and messages.- Manage and lead a team of business development executives, providing guidance and performance feedback.- Maintain and expand the client database by developing and nurturing long-term relationships.- Stay updated with industry trends across all IT domains (Web Development, Mobile Apps, AI/ML, SaaS, etc.)- Prepare regular reports on lead status, team performance, and conversion ratios.Requirements:- 5-6 years of relevant experience in Business Development, especially in the IT sector.- Proven experience with Upwork and similar freelance platforms is mandatory.- Strong background in lead generation, client communication, and documentation.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.- In-depth understanding of IT services and technologies.- Experience in managing a team and working in a collaborative environment.- Must be from an IT/technical background.Preferred Skills:- Strong negotiation and presentation skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills- Familiarity with tools like CRM, Trello, Slack, Google Workspace, etc.Perks & Benefits:- Competitive salary and incentives- Positive work culture- Opportunities to work with international clients- Growth and leadership opportunities (ref:updazz.com)
